Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German television and film actress popular for her work in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of 16years old, she had been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. She was praised for her portrayal as a character in Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominated movies featuring women. Alexandra was involved in numerous notable projects in both the US and abroad. The most notable of these include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French documentary about the history of Napoleon as well as other miniseries. Additionally, she was one of the members of both Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
